Self inking rubber stamps work with a unique inner mechanism that flips the die plate with your custom message on it up and into an innder ink pad and then back down onto the paper where the ink from the pad is transfered by the die unto the paper and your stamp impression is made.  It’s actually just like an inner little hand stamp and pad, and works on the same principal as the old hand stamp and pad only you can’t see it working because it all takes place inside that little plastic case.
