Realizing that light travels at 186,000 miles per second, it’s a little hard to fathom how far it would go in 7 trillion years.

Things are big out there to be sure, and fast as well, as our solar system orbits the center of the Milky Way galaxy at about 515,000 mph. We’re in one of the galaxy’s four spiral arms. It takes our solar system about 230 million years to complete one orbit around the galactic center. And when you consider there are 2 trillion galaxies it all gets to be pretty astonishing.
